Guerlain, Sleek, Creme de la Mer.

Some products you just don't get on with despite trying very hard to. Here are a few that have been misses for me. First up this beautiful palette by Guerlain in 93 Rue de Passy. The shades in this are beautiful and universally flattering. This is the palette where you would use up all the shades. Except I won't as I find them very difficult to blend. They go on very streaky and scratchy, with hardly any pigment. Such a pity as I normally love Guerlain products.       I've been really disappointed with this Sleek palette. The colours are beautiful but have no depth to them, they go on very sheer on the eyes even with primer. Considering they are bright shades instead of nudes, you would expect them to…

Wish List

Here is my wish list for right now, some items I am shamelessly stalking and want to make mine.1. Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs  15 Les Sables will slip perfectly into my makeup collection.2. Sisley black rose precious face oil A face oil rich in Omega 3 & 6, with Bulgarian Rose to give intense moisture to my dessert dry skin sounds like heaven.3. Tom Ford Nude Dip A limited edition neutral dream quad that can turn into a nightmare if you don't get it quick.4. Chantecaille 15 year anniversary eye shade trio Beautiful wearable colours, smooth buttery texture, but can you bear to use that elephant, butterfly, and turtle ? I will need to buy at least two!5. Dolce and Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer From the Fall 2014 collection, Verde Bosco looks divine.6. Givenchy Blush Memoire…

Charlotte Tilbury

I couldn't wait to receive my goodies from Charlotte Tilbury. I'd managed to avoid the initial rush when the brand was launched, instead I decided to do my research, wait for other reviews before I decided to indulge. I went for three items I thought I would get the most use out of. A lipstick, a lip liner, and an eye shadow palette. My order arrived in pretty packaging.   I tore it open and inside was this. ( see the beautiful lipstick samples? :)   First The Sophisticate eye shadow palette. I chose this, despite having a million neutral palettes, because lets face it, when was the last time I actually finished a bright green, purple, blue, yellow, orange eye shadow?  The answer is never. I am pleased with my choice,…

Dior Holiday Couture Collection Eye Designer Palette

I fell in love with this palette as soon as I saw it, it was love at first sight. The colours are my dream go to, that I try to find in other palettes but here they are all in one. And encased in the most beautiful Dior case. I don't remember loving any other palette so much. It consists of a peachy neutral satin base shade, a deep mauve brown crease shade, a fairy twinkling shimmery sheer shade, and a black liner shade. The shades give a light polished day look and have enough pigment to go dark and dramatic.  Beautiful. My most favourite purchase from all the holiday collections.

Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Raffinement 39

I wanted to try this over a period of time, to judge this without my Chanel blinkers, to try to find some fault or weakness so as to make this review a bit challenging. But even without my Chanel dominated blinkers this is a must have. Raffinement is the latest addition to the eye shadow quads. It's a warm neutral with all the quality we've come to expect of these quads. Nothing much else to say really.

Edward Bess Prismette Eye Shadow Quad in Over The Moon 03

I love my Edward Bess, you know this by now and so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I love this palette as well. Edward Bess has this amazing ability to deliver amazing products. I picked up Over The Moon, a neutral quad. The colours can all be used on their own or together, there isn't a single colour you won't use with this one. The third colour is very interesting and I don't have anything similar, it's a green/grey/brown, very complex. A matte beige ( which I'm already hitting pan on ) a satin taupe, and a matte purple brown make up the other colours.
