By Terry Baume De Rose, Gale Hayman Lip Lift, Hourglass No 28 Lip Treatment Oil

Looking after my lips is very important to me, I religiously apply a lip care product to not only help prevent fine lines but to make my love of applying lipstick more pleasurable. In order to get a good lipstick result you must have lips in good condition. Here are 3 of my favourite lip care products. No 1:  By Terry Baume De Rose. The By Terry Baume De Rose is my all time favourite. I have gone through them mercilessly. It's like magic in a pot. I love that it moisturises my lips like no other, for longer than any other product out there. And while I will try out countless products, I always come back to this. It is also worth noting that I am never without a backup of this.…

Aerin Rose Balm Lipstick in Liebling and Perfect Nude

Aerin Lauder's latest addition to the line is the  Rose Balm lipsticks. Packaged in glamorous gold with a regal look, they are beautifully smooth and opaque. They go on opaque but the colour is softer on the lips than in the tube. A sophisticated rose scent adds the finishing touch. Liebling is my favourite of the two, a soft dreamy mauve pink. There is a slight shimmer in this one, but once on the lips you cannot feel it. The other shade I chose is Perfect Nude. A brownish shade. I wasn't sure of this one at first as I don't wear brown lipstick, however on my lips it is more of a natural nude rather than brown, I can even detect a bit of pink in it. It has a cream finish with…

Velour Lashes

Velour Lashes are 100% mink lashes, handmade, lightweight and a good variety of different styles. I have had mink lashes in the past and I must say that these are very good value in comparison. So what is the difference between mink and regular synthetic lashes? The main difference is the feel of the lashes, they are much softer than the synthetic ones, lighter in weight and more comfortable to wear. The Velour Lashes have a band that is made out of cotton thread which make them very kind to the eye. It's worth mentioning that of course these are completely cruelty free, that the mink is collected during shedding season from free range zoos. I have the "Whispie Sweet Nothing" style and here are my thoughts. They are soft and fluttery, the band…

Giorgio Armani Luminessence Bright Revelator Universal Greige BB fluid SPF 50 PA++

I'm a firm believer in sunscreens, I wear a few different layers in strong sunlight and at least one product with SPF in winter. One of my favourite ways of wearing an SPF is mixed in with a foundation as sometimes layering a foundation on top of a high sunscreen can be tricky. Enter Giorgio Armani Luminessence Bright Revelator Universal Greige BB fluid SPF 50 PA++. Yes that is a very long name! Firstly this is a BB cream, not a foundation which means medium coverage. But it has one of the highest SPF protection in the industry. It goes on very easily and smoothly with a grey tint, but settles down quickly to adapt to your own skin colour. I don't apply anything on top but do occasionally add concealer to my under…

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine 92 Emotion

Chanel Rouge Coco shine lipsticks are a hybrid of lipstick and gloss. I do love them as they are very easy to wear. 92 Emotion is limited edition ( or so I was told ) it is a bright raspberry shade that really brightens your whole face. Here is how Chanel describes this particular formulation: Rouge Coco Shine makes an irresistible desire for lightness flit over your makeup. With its mischievous touch, it glides over lips with all the charm and freshness of a snapshot. As melt-away as a balm, its lip-embracing texture becomes fluid on contact with the lips and provides a stunning gloss effect with natural shine. Deliciously fresh and soft, it delivers an unforgettable sensation of well-being. Lips are enveloped in the incomparable comfort of continuous 8 hour long hydration thanks…
